1st Family Dental was founded by Dr. Ghassan Abboud in 1996. We started with one office, our flagship location at 5333 N. Clark St. in Chicago. Since then we have grown to include locations across Chicago and the suburban region, becoming one of the largest and must successful dental groups in the state of Illinois.

We have worked hard to develop a culture that values both customers and employees and look for candidates that will help grow our business while achieving their individual goals. The dental field can be challenging, with a lot for new employees to learn. We believe that hands-on training is the best approach for developing our team. Our senior staff works closely with new team members to ensure they are provided with the knowledge and skills practice needed for success. Performance Management
1st Family Dental has adopted a performance management system that includes regular evaluations and communication with our staff to highlight their successes and identify opportunities for growth. Elements of our 360-degree assessments include patient feedback, assessments by doctors and clinicians, technical reviews by supervisors, as well as input from peers and other co-workers. In addition to being technically excellent in their job responsibilities, a successful staff member must also be a great coworker - reliable, responsible, friendly, and team-oriented. 1st Family Dental offers wages and benefits that meet or exceed the industry averages. Our entry-level wages have always been higher than the Illinois minimums, and we recently committed to the Federal minimum wage recommendation because we believe that fair compensation is integral to supporting both employees and our community at large. 1st Family Dental also offers paid time off, free dental care, as well as retirement savings options for our staff.
